Quality Assurance – what it means Quality Assurance service, for me, means first understanding the details! Thorough comprehension of the design issues in development, the manufacturing technology and process problems of electronics and electro-mechanics is my business. First I go into the nuts and bolts – and see the reason.
„Quality Assurance“ includes the assurance of product safety (guided e.g. by ISO 9001 or ISO/TS 16949) and legally compliant business administration (guided e.g. by ISO 14001) – with the assurance of the Functional Safety (FuSa) according to e.g. IEC 61508, ISO 26262, ISO 13849...
In practice, FuSa requires safety management, item definition, safety plan, H&R, FuSa FMEA (different to the conventional FMEA), safety goals, functional safety requirements and concept (in automotive usually an adapted EGAS, or 3 level, concept), often with SIL / ASIL decomposition; technical safety concepts (HW & SW, for automotive usually in AUTOSAR), failure rates, FMEDA, sometimes a FTA, metrics; (usually MKS and/or DOORS) documentation, safety case, assessments; „FuSa adapted“ quality assurance in production, and FuSa change management.
I don’t do I don’t provide sorting out or rework services, and I don’t repair or provide advanced equipment based failure analysis.
